Jeremy Newell is an award-winning Canadian residential designer. A native to British Columbia, he has love for the culture, lush forests, ocean and snow-capped backdrop of Vancouver plus the beaches, vineyards and sun-filled playground of the Okanagan valley. From an early age he has pursued architecture with passion and is a graduate from BCIT in the study of Architectural and Building Engineering Technology. For more than a decade he has worked with top residential designers such as Denis Apchin, Karl Willms, Bill Daniels and Carl Scholl Design.
In his own practice, Jeremy draws inspiration from the architecture that he has experienced through a life of international travel, having visited much of Europe. His favorite Architects of old include mid-century-modern masters John Lautner, Richard Neutra, Pierre Koenig, and Frank Lloyd Wright. He takes advantage of unique building sites in order to create open living spaces with purposeful views, while providing intimate privacy where needed. His diverse background brings a wealth of knowledge and a sense of refinement to every design.
His site-specific designs begin with a study of the property and it’s surroundings, plus an understanding of the dreams and personality of each individual client. Designing the environment where your family will live and grow shouldn’t be an impromptu decision. It takes deliberate, thoughtful consideration. Jeremy’s well-balanced approach and sensitivity to the needs, wants, and privacy of his clients will make him a refreshing personality to work alongside as you advance toward turning your dreams into reality.
